Historical Audio Tour

Our Historical Audio Tour of the hall and gardens, created by ATS Heritage (Buckingham Palace, Westminster Abbey) and narrated by important figures from the halls past and present! Please ask reception for more information about booking your slot.

Hunters Wellies & Bicycle Hire

Available for complimentary hire throughout your stay with us, our Hunters Wellies and Bikes are the perfect way to explore the estate and surrounding areas.
Explore the forest path to the stew pond, or around the breath-taking lily pond. There’s loads to discover on our grounds.

Walking, Running & Cycling Routes

In your room, or from reception you will find 4 of our recommended walking, running, and cycling routes. Feel free to take a copy of our walking, running, and cycling routes with you.

The Cave

Use of our underground entertainment space, ‘The Cave’ including a large screen TV, pool table and football table.

Wellness – The Orangery Gym

For those looking to re-energise, the brand new Orangery Gym offers a gloriously bright space to work-out in, with state of the art ‘Peloton’ spin bikes and exquisitely designed ‘Nord’ equipment, all overlooking huge glass windows into the estate. A variety of virtual strength, HIIT and meditation classes are also available via a large on-demand projection screen.

The Kitchen Garden at Hawkstone Hall

Tucked away within our charming walled garden, the Kitchen Garden is a celebration of the finest British produce. Take a peaceful stroll through this tranquil space—and if you’re lucky, you might bump into our expert gardener, Steve, who tends it with passion and care.

Dining at Hawkstone Hall

Savour a culinary experience in our award-winning Saloon Restaurant, where seasonal menus showcase locally sourced ingredients—including fresh fruit and vegetables from our very own Kitchen Garden. Curated by Head Chef Jerome, the menu features refined British classics with elegant touches of French cuisine.

Badminton

Our badminton net is located in the at the back of our venue for you to enjoy a quintessentially English game in the glorious gardens.

Rackets and shuttlecocks are available from reception.

Our Llamas

We have three resident llamas here with us. You may have seen them grazing as you drove down the driveway. Should you wish to feed our llamas, you can head to reception where they can provide you with some food. (They are very friendly!)

Garden Games

We have a selection of garden games available for children (and adults alike!) to enjoy. If the games are not already out on the lawn during your stay, please speak to a member of our team who can lay them out for you weather permitting.

Hawkstone Follies

Hawkstone Follies is a spectacular historic landscape spread across 100 acres of rugged sandstone hills and woodland in Shropshire. Designed in the 18th century by the Hill family, this Grade I listed marvel blends natural beauty with imaginative engineered features, including caves, cliffs, crags, monuments, bridges, towers, tunnels, and even a hermit’s retreat

Time needed: Allocate 2–3 hours to fully enjoy the full circuit, which involves plenty of steps and slopes—mobility must be moderate.

Facilities
Visitor centre, tearoom/Greenhouse café, picnic tables, toilets, parking. Torches are essential and can be purchased on-site. Dogs on lead welcome.

Access & Admission
Open selected days (typically Fri–Sun), tickets around £10–11; annual passes available (~£31) . Terrain is unsuitable for wheelchairs or pushchairs
